When it comes to surface finishes, at Angle of Attack, we are huge proponents of Cerakote... however, this new technology from Benelli, may be the BEST. What is BE.S.T? Well, simply put, it stands for Benelli Surface Treatment. This is a new proprietary finishing technology developed by the engineers at their headquarters in Urbino, Italy. It is a hybrid PVD and Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition. This process utilizes electricity, radio frequencies, and plasma in a vacuum environment to deposit a solid, precise, and uniform coating to the parts. Benelli has developed a method to apply the coating without compromising the infamous ballistic quality of the Crio-treated barrels. Areas treated with BEST on applicable firearms include: the barrel, barrel extension, bolt, bolt handle, extended choke, safety, stud, trigger, trigger pin. Our opinion at Angle of Attack, is that this is the toughest yet best looking coating we have seen on a shotgun barrel. It stands up to rust and scratches like nothing else.
